Our standards

How we practice, and what we hold ourselves to

Med My Way is a physician-led telehealth practice. Everything we dispense is physician-prescribed, patient-specific, and preceded by a real clinical relationship. This page states our standards plainly for patients, payment partners, and regulators.

Licensed clinicians only

Every prescription is issued by a licensed clinician after an individualized clinical evaluation. Our medical director, Joel Diaz, MD, reviews intakes, labs, and follow-ups personally. No prescription is issued by questionnaire alone without physician review, and no automated system prescribes on a clinician's behalf.

State licensure & eligibility

Med My Way currently serves patients located in Florida. You must be physically located in a state where our physician holds active, unrestricted licensure at the time of your visit. Patients must be 18 or older. Eligibility is confirmed during intake, and requests from outside our licensed states are declined.

503A pharmacy partners

Compounded preparations are dispensed by state-licensed 503A compounding pharmacies pursuant to a valid, patient-specific prescription. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved and are not reviewed by FDA for safety, effectiveness, or manufacturing quality.

Quality expectations of our partners

We expect partner pharmacies to maintain current state licensure and any required non-resident permits, comply with USP <795>, <797>, and <800> as applicable, use third-party tested active ingredients from FDA-registered suppliers, provide certificates of analysis on request, and maintain documented recall and complaint procedures.

Privacy & data protection

Protected health information is transmitted over encrypted connections, stored with access controls and audit logging, and viewable only by the clinical staff involved in your care. We do not sell personal information or protected health information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Honest communication

We do not promise weight loss, cures, or guaranteed outcomes. Any therapy carries risk, individual responses differ, and treatment may be declined, changed, or discontinued when a clinician determines it is not appropriate for you.

Compounding disclosure

Compounded medications offered through Med My Way are patient-specific preparations compounded by licensed 503A pharmacies under Section 503A of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved, are not evaluated by FDA for safety or effectiveness, and are dispensed only after a licensed physician determines, through an individualized clinical evaluation, that a compounded formulation is medically appropriate for you. Nothing on this site is medical advice or an offer to sell medication.

Side effects and emergencies

If you experience a side effect or adverse reaction, stop using the medication and contact your care team at care@medmyway.org or through your patient portal. If your symptoms are severe or life-threatening — including chest pain, trouble breathing, swelling of the face or throat, fainting, or thoughts of self-harm — call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department immediately. This platform is not monitored for emergencies and is not a substitute for emergency care.
